We are thrilled to share the details of the recently concluded Tirgan Event and its comprehensive budget report. This remarkable celebration of Persian culture was made possible through our community’s collective efforts and generosity. We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone involved in making this event successful!

Revenue Breakdown: The Tirgan Event generated an impressive total revenue of $3,300. We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support and attendance of 70 QUT Persians members, who purchased tickets at $27 each, contributing $1,890. Additionally, 15 UQ Persians members contributed $420, and 30 students and graduates added $990 to the overall revenue. The community’s enthusiastic response truly humbles us!

Expense Breakdown: Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to ensure that every aspect of the event was meticulously planned and executed to create an unforgettable experience for all attendees. As a result, we incurred a total expense of $4,700. Let’s delve into the details:

1. Bar Hire: To provide a well-stocked bar and refreshments, we allocated $2,000 to cover the cost of bar hire.
2. Band Hire: Enlivening the atmosphere with captivating Persian melodies was made possible through the talent and dedication of a hired band, which amounted to $1,500.
3. DJ: A skilled DJ was enlisted to keep the energy high, and the crowd engaged, with expenses totalling $300.
4. Food: By providing 25 servings at an approximate cost of $36 per serving, we allocated $900 to cover the culinary delights.

Personal Contribution and Result: Despite the expenses exceeding our revenue, I am pleased to share that the additional $1,400 required to cover the deficit was graciously covered from my account. I believe in creating a memorable event and ensuring our community thrives, which is why I contributed. Investing in our shared passion for promoting and celebrating Persian culture brings me great joy.

Final Summary: Considering the revenue of $3,300 and the expenses of $4,700, we faced a deficit of $1,400. However, with my contribution, we could cover the additional costs, ensuring the success of the Tirgan Event.
